Coreblue is an interactive catalog for all the products available with Bestbuy retail stores. Coreblue was the logical evolution of the SAMI & CAT applications previously created for the account. In addition to providing all the features that were previously provided, Coreblue adds additional features like real time inventory data of the products, live feedback and recommendations, displaying the latest deals to the customers across different types of products, managing a user’s phone contract and a virtual shopping basket.

Geek Squad Tech Checker

Diagnostic tool used by GeekSquad employees

GeekSquad Tech Checker is a diagnostic application that performs hygiene test of mobile device and tablets to check all hardware functionality. The application tests the most common hardware concerns like GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Accelerometer, Speaker, Mic, Gyroscope etc and alerts user to any possible hardware issues. GeekSquad will store, how much MB of data is browsed and provides each application’s data consumption information.

RDSS

Digital Soldier Solution Prototype for Military Services

Rolta Digital Soldier System (RDSS) is a prototype solution that is part of a proposed advanced digital military solution for the Indian National Army. RDSS refers to the portable display solution that will be given to each soldier to provide him with mission-critical information and data. The application will also provide the soldier with the means to send/receive instructions as well as valuable information to fellow team members. Majority of the functionality of this project is classified.

Merch Audit

Special front and back-end application for performing audit in-store

Provide functionality for representatives to perform a merchant audit.As part of the audit, the representatives will complete a questionnaire and upload a picture taken from the device camera. This content will then be associated with the store’s ID and sent in a secure manner to a backend infrastructure. Once data has been sent to backend, the tablet must wipe clean all images taken as part of the audit process.
The back end infrastructure will expose all audit data sent from stores using a secure URL. Summary & detail views will be available to browse and review. Data and reports will be available as soon as the stores send information to the server.

Honey Encryption

Python Implementation of the encryption algorithm

Honey Encryption aims to produce a valid output for an invalid key. Currently attackers rely on brute-force applications which decrypts data by guessing the correct key. However, a cipher text that is honey-encrypted will yield valid-looking output messages. Thus an attacker cannot gain any information by use of such brute-force tactic.
After the leakage of many user passwords from various web sites in the past couple of years, researchers have learned that a significant number of people use weak, easily-predictable, and repeated passwords. Hence, no matter how secure the encryption algorithm maybe, such passwords were bound to be discovered by simple decryption attacks.

SiRiuSFTP

Multi-threaded Java Implementation of the FTP protocol

Led the design and development, with two other team members, to create a client-server application in Java using FTP protocol, demonstrating how multithreading can be used to increase the efficiency of the network.
The implementation involved a rare and unique algorithm for downloading strategy.The overall solution was well received within the department.
